Say cheese! A beautiful moment for the Missouri family below posing for their Christmas card photo. But what they didn’t expect is that the photo would end up somewhere else than their living room…
Yes, a giant version of the image was spotted by a college friend of them on a food store in Prague, the Czech Republic. The photo was being used as an advertisement without any authorization. Grazie store in Prague’s owner, Mario Bertuccio said he took it from the internet and he had no idea it belonged to a real family. Well Mario, say that to the judge. (Source)
- Groom updates social media sites at the altar during his wedding
They say your wedding is one of the most special moments in your life – a sacred ceremony between two people uniting in law for eternity. Well so they say…
You know you’re taking social media too far when you take the time to update your Facebook and Twitter profiles mid-wedding. As the groom describes:
“I surprised not only my guests, but also Tracy by pulling out my phone and posting on Facebook and Twitter from the altar during out wedding. I had her phone ready in my pocket, so when she asked for it I could hand it to her. No one knew about this except the minister, and myself.”

- The Fox 4 DFW Roast of Social Media
A local FOX station recorded a segment satirizing social media and it’s pretty funny. The anchor opens up with breaking news about a gunman on the loose in City Hall, but every correspondent on the scene is so involved in social media technology that he or she has lost touch with what’s actually happening.

To make matters worse, she discovered someone else had commented on the site that her husband was ‘better off out of it’. Classic. (Source)
- Depressed woman loses benefits over Facebook beach photos
A woman from Quebec on long-term sick leave has stopped receiving monthly benefits after she posted Facebook photos of herself having fun. A year and a half ago the woman was granted leave from her job because of a depression diagnosis and has been receiving sick-leave benefits every month from her insurance company.
However, the pictures posted on the networking site showed her frolicking on a beach, having fun at a Chippendales show and enjoying her birthday party, made her look rather happy. So the insurance company assumed she was no longer depressed and stopped paying the benefits. (Source)
